Sloan Medical Centre is going Total Triage
Total Triage a new triage system that allow all GP appointment requests from patients looked at by the duty doctor who will triage your request and decide when you need to be seen, by which clinician and in which location.
The reason for the change in system is because our phone system is becoming overwhelmed, some patients are taking appointments on the day which are not required, and we need to treat the more serious conditions first and the current fist come first served system is not working.

In future patients who request appointments will have to do so online via our website or they can write out a paper form. The paper form is the same as the online form. Elderly patients who may find it difficult to do the online form can continue to use the telephone and the receptionist will complete the form on their behalf.
The duty doctor will review your request and make a decision based on the best course of action from the symptoms you are experiencing. Action could be in the form of visit your local pharmacy, an on the day appointment, pre-bookable appointment, referred to our in-house physio or referred to our out of evening hours service.

We are moving away from our telephone and in person booking system (first come, first served) and moving to a system based on patient need. We will also be booking patients in with the most suitable clinician for the symptoms you describe.

Our go live date is the 18 March 2024.

Please be advised that from the 18 March 2024 to book an appointment you should use the link on our website home page or complete our paper form and we'll get back to you on the same day.
Thank you
