Update to New Telephone Triage System

 

The Partners at Sloan Medical Centre have discussed the new triage system after working with it for a week and have decided to slightly alter the access for patients and update the new system.

 

From Monday 15th April the partners will accept all triage requests before 11am Monday to Thursday or up to 12 noon on Fridays.

 

After this time the receptionists will only be able to accept emergencies which WILL NOT wait until the following working day. 

 

You will receive your call back from one of the doctors where they will assess the nature and urgency of your call. They will either be able to deal with your query over the phone or will make you an appointment for the same day (if required) or another day of your choice.

It is hoped with this new system that the practice will have fewer appointments not attended and also that the urgent cases will be dealt with in a timely manner.

(please note practice policy is if the 1st call back isn't answered the doctor will only try once more but will leave a message is there is a facility to do so)

 

Please be patient whilst both you as a patient, our staff and doctors at the practice adapt to this new way of working

Defaulting an Appointment

We ask that patients keep appointments or tell us as soon as possible if a booking becomes inconvenient. Defaulting appointments can be detrimental to you, the practice and other patients.
